Note: IDrive offers digital cloud storage services. Since our products are digital and services are rendered immediately upon subscription, traditional "returns" do not apply in the conventional sense. This policy covers subscription cancellations and refund eligibility.

1. Money-Back Guarantee

IDrive offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions under the following conditions:

  • Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the initial purchase date
  • The guarantee applies to first-time purchases only (not renewals)
  • Refund requests must be submitted through our official support channels
  • The money-back guarantee applies to annual and multi-year plans
  • Monthly plans are not eligible for the 30-day money-back guarantee

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds are considered under the following circumstances:

A. Eligible for Refund:

  • New subscriptions within the 30-day money-back guarantee period
  • Duplicate charges or billing errors
  • Service failure that prevents core functionality for an extended period
  • Subscription purchased by mistake (must be reported within 7 days)

B. Not Eligible for Refund:

  • Monthly subscription plans
  • Subscription renewals
  • Partial usage periods (we do not offer prorated refunds)
  • Change of mind after 30 days
  • Failure to cancel auto-renewal before billing cycle
  • Account suspension due to violation of Terms of Service
  • Loss of data due to user error or failure to properly configure backups

3. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your IDrive subscription at any time:

  • During Trial Period: Cancel anytime during your free trial without charge
  • Active Subscriptions: You may cancel, but your service continues until the end of your paid period
  • Avoid Auto-Renewal: Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to prevent automatic billing

Cancellation Process:

  1. Log into your IDrive account
  2. Navigate to Account Settings → Subscription
  3. Select "Cancel Subscription"
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm cancellation
  5. You will receive email confirmation of cancellation

4. Refund Processing

If your refund request is approved:

  • Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Credit card refunds: 3-5 business days to appear on your statement
  • PayPal refunds: Typically appear within 24 hours
  • Bank transfers: May take 5-10 business days

Important: Upon refund, your IDrive account will be downgraded to the free plan (5GB), and access to premium features will be revoked immediately.

5. Data Retention After Cancellation

When you cancel your subscription or receive a refund:

  • Your data remains accessible for 30 days after cancellation/refund
  • You are responsible for downloading or transferring your data during this period
  • After 30 days, all data associated with your premium account is permanently deleted
  • Backup history, settings, and configurations cannot be recovered after deletion

6. Special Circumstances

A. Annual Plans with Monthly Payments:

For annual plans paid in monthly installments:

  • Early cancellation requires payment of remaining balance
  • No refund for unused months if cancelled mid-term
  • Service continues until the end of current billing cycle

B. Business and Enterprise Plans:

Custom business and enterprise plans may have different terms:

  • Refund and cancellation terms are specified in your service agreement
  • Contact your account manager for business plan cancellations
  • Enterprise contracts may have different cancellation notice periods

C. Promotional and Discounted Plans:

Special offers and discounted plans:

  • Refund amounts are based on the actual price paid, not the regular price
  • Promotional gifts or bundled products may need to be returned
  • Some promotional offers may have non-refundable terms

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  3. State the reason for your refund request

Response Time: We typically respond to refund requests within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 7-10 business days.

  • Chargebacks may result in immediate account suspension

  • Customers who file chargebacks may be prohibited from future purchases
